It's a trouble that comes with being the nation's biggest personal relief agency, and Red Cross officials ' pride in their work is continuously coupled with promises to do much better next time. Says Red Cross CEO Gail McGovern, "We expect people to have high expectations of us... It keeps us on our toes.". The most noteworthy criticism came Thursday from the leading elected official on hard-hit Staten Island.
